Hello all! We would like to update you on a Bosnian single mom and her daughter. There are many things that are being done currently to help her at the moment but also to set her for the future. Here is a list of things that we are doing to help her:

1. We have received many requests about money donations. If you would like to donate money for this mother and her child please go to our website www.rukanade.com/donate and do so with a note “MOM” so we know that donation is for this cause. All money raised with note MOM will be used to pay for rent (3 months behind), utilities and other necessities.

2. We took the mom and her child groceries shopping today. (You can see attached pictures )

3. We took the daughter (17) to get her permit so we can work on getting a driver license.

4. We took both mother and child to get their state IDs so they will be able to open a bank account. (Bank said they can not open a bank account with a green card.)

5. We took them to House of Goods so they could apply for help.

6. They applied for Food Stamps but got denied because they filled out the wrong application. We will help them fill out correct form and hopefully it will not be denied.

7. As soon as their state IDs come in mail we will help them open a bank account.

8. Once the daughter gets driver license in 6 months (has to wait 6 months after permit because child is not 18) car will be donated to them. Huge thank you to Sarah Bouachir who will donate a car once the daughter has a driver license.

9. We will help with vehicle registration.

10. Mom had a job interview today. We will update you all once we find out the outcome. We’re hoping for the best! Thank you all for reaching out to us and wanting to help!
